    1930 Babe Ruth Signed Baseball - Displays as a Single! While the superstar slugger's famous and unfailing generosity of spirit ensured that his is the most available of all pre-war sporting legends, the tremendous demand for his essential autograph has nonetheless powered a sustained upward trajectory in auction results throughout the years. Historically, the Babe's signature has been the hobby's safest bet. It has been commonly and properly stated that every great sports memorabilia collection begins with the Babe Ruth single signed baseball.

    Well this Ruth signed baseball has a story to go with it. The offered orb was signed between innings of a July 26, 1930 Yankees-White Sox game at Comiskey. The entire history of the autograph encounter is spelled out within the letter of provenance from the family of the man who originally obtained it. Even a photo (copy) of Ruth, Smead Jolley and young Lawrie Friedman is included to serve as a reminder. The lucky youngster is grinning ear-to-ear as he cradles a bat while Ruth and Smead Jolley look on. Of course both ballplayers signed the youngster's baseball, offered here. Each autograph occupies a sweet spot with Ruth's 9/10 signature on the area which had the stamping. Jolley's autograph is a notch below. The ball has toned and features red and blue stitching meaning it matches the period. The autographs each display as a single.
