1920's Lou Gehrig Original News Photograph by Thorne Studio, PSA/DNA Type 1. Thorne Studio did a masterful job of taking photographs of the New York Yankees in Spring Training in the 1920's. A number of offerings from the company have found their way into this special sale. Lou Gehrig is the featured subject on this original 8x10" photograph. The Iron Horse is stretching and awaiting a throw. Corner rounding has occurred but the photo is stellar. The following notations appear on back: "Thorne Photo" (stamp), "American League Service Bureau" (stamp) and "Lou Gehrig Inf. New York" (black ink).
