Description

1915 Cracker Jack Edd Roush (Rousch) #161 PSA Mint 9 - Pop Four, None Higher. Baseball is not just about stats and on-the-field play. Fans ultimately connect with a player's personality. Maybe not so much for HoFer Edd Roush. You could say he was a "passionate" soul who could throw with both his left and right arms, who played for almost two decades retiring with a .323 average including 11 straight years of .300+ performances. He earned batting titles in 1917 and 1919. His lone World Series glory for the Cincinnati Reds. He also seemed to love drama. He would make a habit out of staging annual salary wars. One holdout caused him to miss the entire 1930 season. Roush played two years for Indianapolis of the newly formed Federal league, the team whom he is pictured with on his Cracker Jack card from 1915.

Graded PSA Mint 9. One of four card graded MINT with none rated higher.
