    Description

1914 B18 Walter Johnson Blanket and 2 1950's Topps Baseball Rookies: Koufax & Maris. Offered is a 1914 B18 Baseball Blanket of Walter Johnson and rookie cards of Sandy Koufax and Roger Maris. The Walter Johnson is shown here on the green pennants version from the flannels set issued in 1914 with several popular brands of tobacco. The green on the bases and flags are very faint and the red shows definite toning/bleeding into the white portion of the diamond. Sandy Koufax is featured on 1955 Topps #123 (FR/GD) and shows nice centering and modest wear to the corners, but there are creases on the card including several going from the top to bottom of the card. Roger Maris is showcased on a 1958 Topps #47 (PR/FR) from his early years as a Cleveland Indian. Card has admirable centering and shows rounding on the corners, but surface shows scuffing and yellow color bleeding towards the top of the card.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
