Description

1910's Rube Marquard Original News Photograph by Paul Thompson, PSA/DNA Type 1. Rube Marquard didn't earn his nickname because he was harvested from the fields of Maryland. The eventual Hall of Famer became "Rube" because he was likened to zany hurler Rube Waddell by one scribe. This 5.25x7" photo shows Marquard with a bat in hand before a game. The reverse has: "Marquard NY Nat" (pencil) and a "Photo by Paul Thompson" stamp. LOA from PSA/DNA, Type 1.

I would also like to thank your auction company for the promotion of the auction and was pleasantly surprised by the number of bidders who attended, as well as the prices realized. It was a pleasure doing business with you.
