1910-11 M116 Sporting Life Ty Cobb Pastel Background PSA Mint 9--Pop Two, None Higher! Issued only to subscribers of the famed "Sporting Life" magazine, this T206 contemporary is immensely rare by comparison, its full submissions to PSA resting well below 8,000 as the American Tobacco magnum opus surges past a quarter million. Both issues utilize the same Carl Horner studio photograph for its design, and here that image is set against a gentle pastel background that perfectly contrasts the fiery nature of the subject.

Graded PSA Mint 9. The spectacular condition of this ancient rarity establishes it as one of the toughest Cobb cards in the hobby, one of only two to achieve the vaunted Mint assessment from PSA, with none climbing higher. The state of preservation is nothing short of a miracle, with corners as sharp as Cobb's notorious spikes, bright colors, perfect registration, and even flawless centering. Those collectors searching for Cobb commemorative of peerless quality will be watching this lot carefully.
