    Description

1909-11 T206 Piedmont 350 Miller Huggins (Portrait) PSA Mint 9 - Pop One, None Higher! Miller "Mighty Mite" Huggins got his start as a scrawny five-foot six-inch second baseman, but rose to prominence as a Hall of Fame skipper who led the Yankees to their first six pennants and three World Championships as he butted heads with an often incorrigible Bambino. His early and tragic death from blood poisoning in 1929 has made the Murderer's Row manager a scarce appearance in any card promotion.

Graded PSA Mint 9. The current "Pop One-of-One With None Higher" title-holder. The back displays "Piedmont - 350 Subjects" advertising with a Factory 25 caption. With barely a whiff of evidence to suggest the card is now over a century-old, it is an example worthy of the few T206 sets in our hobby of this caliber. Not a single example of this card is noted on the SGC census in Mint. Of the current 675 portraits if Huggins noted on the PSA report we offer the finest "Portrait" example to pass through the offices of PSA regardless of the brand. No advanced collector should be without a magnificent type in their collection and we think the finest example of a HoFer would make a great choice.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
