1904 Pittsburgh Leader Honus Wagner Pocket Schedule SGC 60 EX 5. This wonderfully designed 1904 pocket schedule features a chest-high portrait of baseball legend Honus Wagner - front and center - dubbing him the "King of Ball Players." We doubt anyone would have argued. 1904 was the fifth season Wagner wore a Pirates uniform. Going into the '04 season, the Louisville and Pittsburgh faithful saw "Hans" rack up over 1,200 hits while maintaining a .342 BA. With success like that endorsements will follow. This is a very rare promo measuring out at 3 3/8" x 1 3/4" and made of celluloid. The back displays a complete schedule of every Pirates home game for the 1904 season. "Compliments of The Pittsburg Leader" confirms the source.

Graded SGC 60 EX 5. SGC has graded only six of these early twentieth-century rarities. We can only speculate how few others might still be in existence.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
