    Description

1887 N28 Allen & Ginter King Kelly PSA Poor 1. "King" Kelly was one of baseball's first true superstars. He is often credited with making the hit and run popular, the hook slide and the catcher's practice of backing up first base. Off the field, he was the subject of both song and cinema. The phrase "Slide Kelly, Slide" was the title for both a 19th century song and a 1927 movie. The offered card presents nicely but does have obvious reverse surface loss. Graded PSA Poor 1. A pleasing example with a problem free portrait of a classic card.
