Late 1960's Bert Campaneris Game Worn Jacket. Early career light nylon jacket dates to the earliest Oakland years of the Athletics franchise, just after the club departed from its Kansas City home, and may well have been worn during the A's' domination of the American League in Oakland in the early 1970's. The button-front jacket sports a white and yellow tackle twill "A" (note the absence of the apostrophe and "s"), helping to further date the garment. Campaneris' jersey number "19" appears above the right sleeve cuff. "Wilson [size] 38" label in collar is appropriate for the small-framed shortstop. Elasticized cuffing at collar, sleeve ends and waist shows a scattering of moth holes, but nothing that causes significant concern. An exciting find for uniform style collectors and the many fans of this six-time All-Star. LOA from Lou Lampson. Guide Value or Estimate: $800 - $1,200.
