Early 1990's Rickey Henderson Game Worn Jersey. Universally considered the greatest lead-off man in the history of the game, Henderson owns career records in both stolen bases and runs scored as well as membership to the illustrious 3,000 Hit Club. Here we encounter a home white knit from his tour of duty in Oakland, where he would win his only MVP award during the 1990 season. A lack of year tagging makes exact dating of the jersey impossible, though the team logo patch on the left sleeve made its first appearance in 1993. "Athletics 24" is applied to chest in green and yellow tackle twill, with "Henderson 24" balancing the design on verso. Lower left front tail holds "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection [size] 42" label, with "100% Polyester" flap tag below. Wear is quite good for a superstar gamer, with softening of the tagging and tackle twill indicative of sweaty use. LOA from Lou Lampson.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
