Early 1970's Walter Alston Game Worn Los Angeles Dodgers Jacket. He won seven pennants and four World Championships during his twenty-three seasons at the helm of the Dodgers, and his last National League flag came around the time he sported this jacket in the dugout. Classic "Dodgers" script is applied to the chest in white tackle twill, which exhibits a bit of dye bleed upon close inspection. Zipper front remains functional and the elasticized trim at collar, waist and cuffs finds none of the damage typical of vintage jackets. Proper "W.A. Goodman & Sons [size] 48" label appears at interior collar above a nameplate with a bold handwritten "Alston" that matches other Dodgers jackets from the era. A solid "gamer" from the Hall of Fame skipper. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
