Early 1970's Pittsburgh Pirates Game Worn Uniform. From the personal collection of Pirates scout Peter Castiglione comes this road grey knit dating to the end of the Clemente era. Original "Pirates" on the jersey's chest, but number "58" on front and back is clearly a replacement, likely at the minor league level. Interior tail is tagged "Rawlings 42" with washing instruction label beside. Matching pants are identically tagged (with size "34") at interior waistband. Markered numbers here include "9" (Mazeroski?) and "46." A pair of stirrups completes the ensemble. All show strong wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

I will definitely consider using Heritage again, as I have other items that might benefit from being offered at auction.
