Early 1950's Ted Williams Game Worn Boston Red Sox Undershirt. The dream of owning a genuine Ted Williams game worn Red Sox jersey will remain only that for all but the most well-funded collectors among us, but this humble offering could change all that for one enterprising member of the Kid's still-populous fan base. Regular Heritage bidders will recall a similar example offered in our May 2013 auction, though that representation did not share the fine condition of the presented model. Here we find a complete "Ted Williams" embroidered in red at the collar, just above the proper "Tim McAuliffe" manufacturer's label. The size label is missing, but the garment measures to a "46," which would suggest use during the second half of Williams' career when The Kid started to lose that youthful leanness.
