    Description

Circa 2001 Barry Bonds Game Worn Cap. The controversial mega-slugger topped off his San Francisco Giants uniform with this cap in the time surrounding his historic seventy-three home run season. Wear is heavy and dirty, leading one to conclude that many games of use from this historic year reside within.. "New Era [size] 7 1/4" tagging is inside headband, with "25" in black marker under the visor. Of particular note is the flag over the left ear, dating the cap to the end of the season, after the terror attacks of September eleventh. Included is a letter of provenance from the President and Managing General Partner of the San Francisco Giants, on team letterhead, dated 11/3/01. LOA from Lou Lampson.
