Circa 1993 Don Mattingly Game Worn New York Yankees Jersey. A letter of authenticity from Steiner Sports, the official marketing body for game used memorabilia from the New York Yankees, sets the presented road grey gamer a cut above the rest due to its "take it to the bank" provenance. For the better part of a decade and a half, Donnie Baseball was the most popular ballplayer in the Bronx, his 1995 retirement making way for a kid named Derek Jeter to take the reins. The presented gamer dates from late in that six-time All-Star career, exhibiting the kind of very strong wear one seldom encounters in superstar jerseys. Classic block lettered "New York" arches across the chest, with the retired number "23" applied in the same navy and white tackle twill on reverse. "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection [size] 44" label appears in lower left front tail, with "100% Polyester" flap tag affixed below.
