Circa 1961 New York Yankees Game Jersey. Road grey flannel appears to be identical to those gamers worn by the Bronx Bombers around the time of the M&M boys' home run antics. Textiles are a perfect match, from the construction of the jersey body to the moth-eaten blue felt "New York" on the chest and undamaged number "80" on verso. The high jersey number would suggest spring training use and the absence of manufacturer's tagging is a mystery, but a "61" in faded marker in the tail does match the way the Yanks would occasionally denote year in their gamers. Solid wear. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
