    Description

Circa 1960 Boston Red Sox Game Worn Jersey, Number 26. Removed year and size tags keep us from making a definitive statement about the former owner's identity, but this home white Red Sox flannel would have seen use on the mound by either Murray Wall (1957-59) or Earl Wilson (1959-66). Very strong wear suggests the possibility of multiple seasons of wear. Team nickname spans the chest in red and navy felt, with number "26" sewn to verso. One of eight offered Boston Red Sox flannels rescued from the club's Winter Haven, Florida spring training grounds by a Cypress Gardens theme park water skier. LOA from Lou Lampson..
