    Description

Circa 1950 Fred Haney Hollywood Stars Game Worn Durene "Summer Weight" Jersey with Shorts. The Pacific Coast League gave baseball-starved fans a pretty good product before the Major League Baseball ventured out west. This marvelous "Wilson size 42" durene jersey was donned by skipper Fred Haney when he was managing the Hollywood Stars. Haney's four year stint as manager resulted in two PCL championships. He parlayed that success into a managerial position with the Milwaukee Braves. The offered garment has a star, "H" affixed over the heart and "12" centered on the reverse. The team emblem and number on back are in heavy two-tone felt material. The collar features a Wilson label and size indicator. A few small moth holes are visible throughout. This ensemble is completed with a pair of flannel shorts worn by the team. There is no player attribution. The shorts are accentuated on the sides with red, white and blue trim. We will provide an on-line photo of these, shall we say unique, uniforms being worn. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
