    Description

Circa 1948 Oakland Oaks Game Worn Cap from the Casey Stengel Collection. It was the Ol' Perfessor's success with the Pacific Coast League squad that convince the Yanks to bring him on in 1949, beginning an unprecedented five-year run of World Championship glory. Velvety-soft cap shows tremendous wear from Casey's days by the Bay, with "Wilson" label inside headband. No visible size markings or markered attribution, but unquestionably from the wise head of the Hall of Fame manager. LOA from MEARS.
