    Description

    Circa 1940 Boston Red Sox Game Worn Cap & Stirrups from The Hank Severeid Collection. Red Sox cap and two pairs of stirrups exhibit heavy wear and derive from the collection of Severeid, who scouted for the BoSox from 1944 until his sudden passing in 1968. Cap has remnants of proper "Tim McAuliffe" manufacturer's label. Could it have belonged to Ted Williams, Jimmie Foxx? We'll never know... LOA from Heritage Auctions.
