Circa 1930's-40's Buffalo Amateur League Game Worn Jersey. In the 1930's and 1940's, Buffalo, New York was a hotbed for amateur baseball. This offered flannel was worn in that era and used by a player of the "Sterling Engine" squad, as can be detected from the front white and blue embroidering. Jersey exhibits solid condition, with a minor scattering of holes in the verso. An attractive "Sterling" patch adorns the right sleeve of this shirt, which is absent of any tagging. Measures at approximately 20" from shoulder seem to shoulder seem and 30" from neckline to base of the tail.
