Description

Circa 1920 Game Worn "Andrews" Baseball Uniform. Founded in New Hampshire, The Draper & Maynard Company started out manufacturing gloves out of local homes. In the 1880's, with a ever growing interest in The National Pastime, their factory began producing baseball gloves. In 1904, D&M founded their uniform division and by the Roaring Twenties, they were one of the largest and well branded sporting goods manufacturer's in the United States. Over the years, D&M grew with the game by innovating the technology, designs, styles and materials used in various sports equipment, including uniforms.

Dating from the mid-1910's to mid-1920's, the presented vintage gray flannel jersey with blue pinstripes displays a black cotton/flannel D&M sun collar, black cotton sleeve cuffs trim and a half-button front, with "Andrews" vertically stated in bright yellow felt. Black interior collar tag reads "D&M Trademark, The Draper-Maynard Co., Manufacturers Athletic Goods Made in U.S.A." Matching pants display black leg piping and D&M label in waist. Presents in exceptionally good condition considering its vintage.
