    Description

Circa 1910s-20s Vintage Shauvanon Elks Full Uniform. While it cannot be said with definitive clarity what league the Shauvanon Elks played in, we can say that the vintage full uniform that we present here remains a historical signpost to an impressive era of baseball uniforms. Includes the full array -- jersey, cap, pants with belt, cleats, stirrup socks and interior hip pads. The absence of a uniform number could possibly date it to the 1920s of earlier since jerseys customarily carried a rear numeral from the early 1930s on. Wear of this pinstriped gem is light but evident. The pants and jersey were manufactured by Wright & Ditson of Canada while the socks are from Ripon and still include an original tag. The cleated footwear are black leather and exhibit a fair amount of oxidation to the metal spikes. The hip pads are made by Rawlings.
