2012 Max Scherzer Game Worn Detroit Tigers Throwback Uniform. If the Washington Nationals want to catapult themselves into the World Series, they made a huge step by signing Max Scherzer this past offseason. The top-line starter is capable of taking the team on his back and has already won a Cy Young trophy during his short career. Worn by the former ace of the Tigers staff is this throwback "Majestic [size] 48" road jersey and matching pants. Mirroring those double knits of 1979, this road jersey has its identifiers constructed in two-color tackle twill. Light one-game use is shown. Authentication is secured with an MLB hologram (EK 001036) affixed. Sewn in the tail is a Majestic tag and "37 48 1979" swatch. A Majestic "0613C1" label appears inside. The matching pants, also authenticated with an MLB hologram (EK 001037). All of the correct tags are in-place. Both pieces are signed by Scherzer and authenticated with a PSA/DNA certificate and sticker. MLB hologram EK 001036 (jersey) and EK 001037 (pants). COA from PSA/DNA. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
