Description
2009 Buster Posey Game Worn San Jose Giants (Class A) Jersey. The fifth overall pick in the 2008 Major League draft, the eventual 2010 Rookie of the Year took his first professional swings with the San Francisco Giants' Class A affiliate in San Jose, where he wore the presented jersey until he was called up to the Bigs on September 11, 2009. "San Jose" arches across the chest in white and black tackle twill above a number "7, " a digit repeated on verso below an American flag patch. The "SJ" team logo adorns the left sleeve. "Russell Athletic Dri-Power Stretch [size] XL" label appears at interior collar, and rear numeral is autographed in 9/10 silver sharpie. Ironclad provenance is supplied in the form of a certificate of authenticity from the San Jose Giants attributing wear to both Buster Posey and Johnny Monell. The consignor's receipt from the silent auction where it was purchased is included as well. It's a little too early to start thinking about a future Cooperstown nod for this popular Giants backstop, but you'll be kicking yourself twenty years from now if it happens and you missed this opportunity to own his first pro jersey.
