    Description

2004 Tim Wakefield Game Worn Jersey. Home white gamer dates from that glorious and seemingly impossible season when the Boston Red Sox finally put an end to The Curse. It shows light but definite use from the wily knuckleballer's innings on the mound at Fenway, and features the classic Old English "Red Sox" on the chest and Wakefield's number "49" on verso. A "Russell Athletic Authentic Collection" label in the tail is joined by flap tags reading "48, 100% polyester" and "2" Extra Length" respectively. And, most importantly, the tagging is capped off by the World Championship "2004" year designator. A flawless blue sharpe signature across the shoulders rounds out an artifact that will still make many millions of New England hearts sing. LOA from Lou Lampson.
