2004 Pedro Martinez World Series Team Issued & Signed Boston Red Sox Jersey from The Tommy Harper Collection. The three-time Cy Young Award winner was issued the presented jersey during the 2004 Fall Classic when the Red Sox returned to the mountain top after eighty-six years. During the regular season, Martinez went 16-9 and placed fourth in the Cy Young voting. During the Fall Classic, Pedro went 1-1 with six K's in seven innings and an ERA of 0.00. It is possible that this exemplar was worn by Martinez on the bench during Game One and/or Game Two of the World Series, but we are unable to confirm this at the present time.This home white knit from Boston's long awaited World Series championship season sports sewn-on red and midnight navy tackle twill identifiers, red piping on the sleeve ends and Russell Athletic labeling in the tail confirming size, season and extra length. Best of all is the 2004 World Series patch affixed on the right sleeve. Exhibits evidence of minimal wear. Furthermore, the verso is signed and inscribed in 9/10 black sharpie. Presents well and without distraction.
The jersey originates from the personal collection of former MLB player and coach Tommy Harper, who has been part of professional baseball for more than half a century.
