    Photomatched to Fall Classic action!

2003 Derek Jeter World Series Game Worn New York Yankees Jersey. It was the sixth Fall Classic appearance for the mighty Yanks in an eight-year span, an era of dominance unseen since the days of Mickey Mantle. Few gave the upstart Florida Marlins any chance to unseat the reigning kings of Major League Baseball, but a few lucky bounces resulted in the underdog victory despite the Yankees outscoring the National League Champs in the Series' six games of action.

Presented is a home pinstriped gamer worn by the Yankee captain during this disappointing centennial Fall Classic, a garment that has been definitively matched by its unique pinstripe patterns to action shots for both Games Two and Six on (97304654, 2650286). The Captain batting a sizzling .346 under the game's brightest lights, but the quest for his fifth ring would have to wait until 2009.

The classic home Yankees design features the logo "NY" over the heart and a number "2" on reverse that will soon disappear from the franchise wardrobe. Centennial patches for the Yankees and the World Series are affixed at left and right sleeve respectively. Lower left front tail holds proper "Russell Athletic Authentic Collection" label with "Size 48" flap tag with tailoring modifications and a "2003" year swatch below. Solid wear suggests the jersey was a regular season model that was patched for continued wear in the Series.

With ironclad photomatched documentation, wear superior to the vast majority of Jeter gamers, and Fall Classic vintage, it's one of the most appealing garments from the future first-ballot Hall of Famer we've had the good fortune to offer. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
