2002 Albert Pujols Game Worn St. Louis Cardinals Jersey. The St. Louis Cardinals persevered through the 2002 season despite playing with heavy hearts. In the span of just four days, the team was dealt two devastating blows. Beloved announcer Jack Buck died on June 18 while popular hurler Darryl Kile was found dead in his hotel room just days later. Both were honored with memorial patches - Buck on the right sleeve and Kile on the left of this Albert Pujols gamer. The Cardinals birds-on-a-bat logo is filled in with chenille threads on front. "5" is executed on front in two-color while "Pujols 5" is situated on the reverse. Light, but definite, use is shown on this button-up knit garment with slight rippling on the identifiers. The inner tail includes these labels: "Rawlings," [size] 48" and "Set 1 2002".

Overall, an impressive early career Pujols gamer, one in which he dispelled any rumors of a sophomore slump. LOA Heritage Auctions.
