Description
2001 Mike Piazza Game Worn New York Mets Jersey. Baseball lent its hand as a healing tool following the devastating events of September 11. While nothing could make us forget tragedy, baseball at least filled our evenings with some type of respite. Mike Piazza wore this jersey following the 9-11 attack. Situated on the reverse is an American flag while the right sleeve includes two American flags and embroidered "9-11-01" reference. Consistent wear is shown with rippling on the three-color tackle twill numbers and team name including cross-hatched textured twill. The inner tail holds six tags, each showing outstanding wash wear: Rawlings, "Sleeve Minus 1 Inch,""1/2 wider sleeve," "1 Inch Extra Length," size and "Set 1 2001."
