    Description

2001 Mariano Rivera Game Worn New York Yankees Pants. Road grey pants is the style Mo was wearing on the mound during the heartbreak of 2001 World Series Game Seven, though we can't be sure in what particular contest this garment saw action. Interior waistband is tagged "Russell Athletic [size] 35" with swatch announcing "42 Rivera 34/3?-33-01." Rivera gave two pairs of pants to his friend and teammate Domingo Jean, whose name and number is written on the tag. Jean later had his buddy autograph the pants in 9/10 black sharpie, with a notation recalling his record-breaking performance a decade later: "602 saves 9/19/11." Also here is a second pair of Yankees pants identically inscribed, though the tagging does not have Rivera's name or number on the labeling. Both pairs of pants were indeed given by Rivera to Jean. Letter of provenance from Domingo Jean. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph). Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph).
