    Description

2001 David Ortiz Game Worn Minnesota Twins Flag Jersey. The terror attacks of 9/11 struck the most painful blow to the American populace since Pearl Harbor, but Major League Baseball proved itself a healing agent in the weeks after that deadly afternoon. We firmly believe that "flag" jerseys, so named because of the American flag patches affixed to the rear collar of all Major League jerseys for the final weeks of the 2001 season, will become even more highly prized as the years pass. We find such a patch above the red and white tackle twill "Ortiz 27" on verso of this navy knit. "Minnesota 27" adorns the chest. Team logo patch appears at left sleeve. Lower left front tail reveals "Russell Athletic Authentic Collection" label with "52, 100% Polyester" and "+3" Sleeve Length" flap tags and a "27-01-1" swatch below. Get it now, before Cooperstown comes calling. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

Just wanted to let you know how pleased I am regarding the sale of my hockey jersey. You were great to work with, you answered all my phone calls and e-mails in a prompt manner, and you did a great job marketing the jersey.
