2000 Mark McGwire Game Worn Jersey. Big Mac was still the reigning single season Home Run King the season he suited up in this road grey gamer, a year during which he would pass the likes of Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Mantle and Mike Schmidt on the career chart. Wear is quite strong for a modern superstar jersey, with the identifiers and tail tagging showing fine, sweaty use. The celebrated birds and bat chenille design on the chest is joined by McGwire's number "25" in duotone tackle twill, with those digits and "McGwire" appearing on verso. The tail has been hand-cut per McGwire's personal tastes, sparing the tagging which offers a "Rawlings Authentic Collection" label and flap tags announcing "Sleeves 1 Inch Extra Length, 52, Set 1 2000." With the slugging superstar entering his first year of Hall of Fame eligibility, smart collectors are stocking up for the inevitable upsurge in prices if and when the Cardinals hero is presented a Cooperstown plaque.
