2000 Johan Santana Game Worn Minnesota Twins Rookie Jersey. The two-time Cy Young winner recorded the first ever no-hit performance in New York Mets franchise history this season, adding one more line to a resume that should ultimately earn him Cooperstown bronze. It all started here though, with eighty-six innings on the mound with the 2000 Minnesota Twins. This alternate blue jersey exhibits light game wear from a shaky 6.49 ERA debut season which provided little hint of the brilliance to come. "Minnesota 57" is applied to chest in red and white tackle twill, with "Santana 57" on verso. Team logo patches appear at each sleeve, with the right holding a secondary patch remembering the recently deceased former team owner Calvin Griffith. Lower left front tail holds "Russell Athletic Authentic Collection" label with "50 100% Polyester" flap tag and "2000" strip tag below. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
