1999 Paul O'Neill World Series Game Worn New York Yankees Jersey with Joe DiMaggio "5" & Catfish Hunter Black Armband - Photo Matched to 7/10 vs. Mets (3-for-5 with 2 Home Runs & 1 Double)! Over the course of seventeen big league seasons in Cincy and New York, Paul O'Neill accumulated a career portfolio of over 1,000 runs, 2,000 hits, 450 doubles, 280 homers, 1,200 RBI and a lifetime BA of .288. He was also a five-time All-Star and an integral component of five World Series championship teams for both the Reds and Yanks.In 1999, The Warrior was a star for the Bombers, batting .285 with thirty-nine doubles, nineteen homers, and 110 RBI during the regular season. In the Fall Classic that year, the Yankees would capture the final World Series of the Twentieth Century, and their twenty-fifth title overall, with a memorable sweep of the Braves.
The jersey on offer here is a six-button, road gray knit which proclaims "New York" arched across the chest with "18" on the verso, all sewn-on in midnight navy on white tackle twill. The right sleeve sports the "World Series 1999" patch, while the left sleeve memorializes the great Joe DiMaggio, with a black tackle twill "5," and Jim "Catfish" Hunter, with a black mourning band. Features five tags in the tail for Russell Athletic/Diamond Collection size "48," "O'Neill '99," "1" Extra Length," "1" Extra Sleeve Length," and fabric content. Also, a Steiner hologram is affixed to the Russell Athletic label.
