1998 Mike Piazza Game Worn Los Angeles Dodgers Jersey. Mike Piazza may have been baseball's best kept secret. The notion of getting drafted was not a given for the catcher. Piazza was selected as a favor from Tommy Lasorda to a Piazza family member. Oh did the Dodgers luck out. The future Hall of Famer wore this "Russell Athletic [size] 50" jersey during his final season with the the Dodgers - 1998. Setting this gamer apart from the others is the inclusion of a patch on the left sleeve. In 1998, the Dodgers wore an anniversary patch celebrating their 40th season in Los Angeles. The offered jersey shows good wear with softening on the two-color name and numbers on back. Slight fraying appears on the single-color tackle twill number on front. Excellent pilling marks are visible near the "1" numeral from the constant rubbing of the catcher's gear. Four labels are sewn inside: Russell Athletic size, fabric, "2" Extra Body Length" and "1998" (computerized). LOA from Heritage Auctions.Auction Info
