1998 Alex Rodriguez Game Worn Seattle Mariners Uniform with Two A-Rod Letters. The future Hall of Fame slugger provides a signed letter of authenticity for the jersey and for the pants just in case a collector might want to split up this matched pair. We'd recommend keeping them as a set though--you'll be glad you did when Cooperstown comes calling. This was arguably A-Rod's finest season, his celebrated 40/40 campaign, and one in which he led the American League with 213 hits. Home white jersey announces "Mariners" in tri-tone tackle twill on the chest, and "Rodriguez 3" on verso. Team logo patch on left sleeve. "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection [size] 48" label in tail is underscored by "1998" year tag and multiple flap tags: "100% Polyester, 2" Extra Body Length, 1" Extra Sleeve Length, Tapered Body." Black sharpie inscription on verso is 10/10: "Alex Rodriguez, 1998 Game Used, 40/40." Matching pants are identically signed, and tagged "Russell Athletic [size] 36," with "100% Polyester" flap tag and "3 Rodriguez 36/38-35-98" swatch at interior waistband. Finally, we have a Mariners undershirt, signed "Alex Rodriguez game used" in 8/10 silver sharpie, with hand cut tail. All pieces exhibit solid wear throughout. Two LOA's signed by Alex Rodriguez.
