1997 Rusty Greer Texas Rangers Game Worn & Signed Jersey, with Jackie Robinson Patch.
Selected 279th overall in the 1990 Draft by the Texas Rangers, Greer quickly endeared himself to the fans in the Lone Star State blasting a home run in his second career at-bat in 1994 and preserving Kenny Rogers' perfect game with a spectacular diving catch in the ninth inning later on in his rookie campaign. Though he never made an All-Star team in the inflated era of the 1990s, the Red Baron hit over .300 five times and launched double-digit home runs in six different season before his career was cut short due to mounting injuries related to his aggressive style of play. Greer was inducted into the Rangers Hall of Fame in 2007.

The offered "Russell Athletic [size] 44" jersey comes from his finest season, 1997, in which he finished ahead of Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera in MVP balloting. Greer slashed .321/.405/.936 with a career-high 26 home runs. Light use exhibited throughout the jersey and two-color tackle twill identifiers. Left sleeve features the Rangers patch while the right sleeve displays a beautiful Jackie Robinson patch but lacks the "MH" (Mark Holtz) memorial patch which was only worn in the final weeks of the season. Signed in bold blue sharpie on the right chest. Four tags are sewn in the tail: Russell Athletic, fabric, length, and "29-44-97" (computerized). Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA.
