1997 Dennis Eckersley Game Worn St. Louis Cardinals Jersey With Team Letter. Dennis Eckersley realized his flaws, made amends and reinvented himself in time to transform into a Hall of Famer. When most players are in their twilight of their career, Eck became baseball's top closer. By the time he wore the offered "Rawlings [size] 46" home jersey, Eckersley was putting the finishing touches on a Cooperstown-worthy run. Light use is featured on the offered button-up garment which has "Eckersley 43" featured on back in two-color tackle twill. Of course the front has a chenille-filled bird on bats logo made famous by the Cards. Linking this to '97 is a Jackie Robinson Breaking Barriers patch over the right sleeve. The jersey was originally purchased directly from the Cardinals Care foundation and includes their letter. Eckersley sealed the deal with a 9/10 felt tip signature and "HOF 2005" inscription. Featured in the inner tail are three labels: "Rawlings," "Set 1 1997" and size. Letter of provenance from Cardinals Care. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
