1997 David Ortiz Game Worn Minnesota Twins Rookie Jersey. The biggest bat of the 2004 World Champion Boston Red Sox was just a twenty-one year old rookie when he suited up in this navy alternate jersey in representation of the Twins cause. "Minnesota 27" is applied to chest in white and red tackle twill, with "Ortiz 27" on verso. Left and right sleeves present team logo and Jackie Robinson Golden Anniversary patches respectively. Interior collar holds "48-97" swatch indicating size and season, while lower left front tail announces "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection [size] 48" with "100% Polyester" and "2" Extra Length" flap tags below. Light wear is appropriate for a seldom-worn uniform format. Big Papi is a definite Hall of Fame contender, which means this jersey will surge in value if that call comes. LOA from Heritage Auctions.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
