    Description

1996 Wade Boggs Game Worn New York Yankees Jersey. It was a season that ended with the future Hall of Famer astride a police horse, his fist raised in victory as he helped the New York Yankees reclaim its rightful place atop the baseball world after an eighteen year absence. Presented here is a home white pinstriped gamer from earlier in that World Championship season, a rare and special opportunity to own pinstripes from a Cooperstown resident. The classic "NY" logo is applied in navy tackle twill over the heart, with number "12" on verso. A black mourning band for the great Mel Allen rings the left sleeve. "Russell Athletic Diamond Collection [size] 46" labeling at the front left tail is applied above the "Boggs - 96" strip tag, with "100% Polyester" and "2" Extra Length" flap tags to the left. Wear is light but definite, certainly well within acceptable boundaries for a superstar gamer. LOA from Heritage Auctions. LOA from Andy Imperato.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
