    Description

1996 Roger Clemens Game Worn Signed Boston Red Sox Jersey. Dan Duquette will forever be haunted by his quote about Roger Clemens being "in the twilight of his career" in 1996. The Rocketman proved he had plenty left in the reserves as he enjoyed quite the "twilight" years. Worn during Clemens' final campaign in Boston is this white home garment. Some fraying and numeral puckering are found on the reverse. Comfortably resting in the tail is a "Russell Athletic [size] 50" tag, "1996" (computerized) label, fabric content tag and "2" Extra Length." "Red Sox" is spaced across the front in the team's famous font. Clemens signed on front in bold blue sharpie. A photo of Clemens with the jersey will be included to the winning bidder. Although it was an end of one era, it was the beginning of Clemens' second part of a legendary career. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
