1995 Cal Ripken Jr. Game Worn Baltimore Orioles Jersey. Many believe Cal Ripken Jr. saved baseball during its darkest hours. Following the 1994 player's strike, the sport had an uphill battle as the World Series was canceled and fans were in an upheaval. When Ripken was in the midst of helping heal the wounds created by the strike, he wore this "Russell Athletic [size] 48" alternate jersey. Moderate puckering and identifier fraying are visible on the three-color tackle twill identifiers. A Velcro strip is installed between the second and third buttons on front. Three labels are sewn in the tail, each showing great wash wear: Russell Athletic, fabric content and "95" (computerized). The left sleeve is decorated with an Orioles team patch. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
