Description
1994 Pedro Martinez Game Worn & Signed Montreal Expos Jersey. The presented road gray knit sports a six-button front, sewn-on three-color poly twill identifiers and ribbed knit sleeve cuffs. Russell Athletic tagging in the front left tail denotes size and extra length. Importantly, "Purchased from Montreal Expos" is stamped in black on the bottom of the left interior button path. The team patch on the left sleeve and 125th anniversary patch on the right sleeve really make this exemplar pop.Worn by Martinez during his first year with the Expos, when he went 11-5 with a 3.42 ERA and authored fifteen road starts. Exhibits light but acceptable wear from the strike-shortened season. The front is signed in 9/10 vintage black sharpie. One of the greatest moundsmen of his generation, Martinez was a three-time Cy Young recipient and World Series champ who was elected to Cooperstown in 2015. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
