1992 Don Zimmer Game Worn & Signed Boston Red Sox Uniform Ensemble with Yawkey Memorial/Armband & Zimmer Letter. One of the last great baseball men, Zip Zimmer began his Big League career as a player at Ebbets Field and continued to wear a uniform for the next half-century. Here we find his fabulous game worn uniform ensemble when he handled bench and third base coaching duties for the Boston Red Sox during the days of Boggs, Clemens, and Vaughn.

    1) Button-down home white knit jersey displays "Red Sox" in Old English font across the chest and number "34" in identical red and midnight navy tackle twill on verso. "Russell Athletic 46" and "92" tagging reside in the tail. Best of all is the "JRY" memorial (in red tackle twill) and black armband on the left sleeve for Jean Yawkey; 2) Matching pants with "Zimmer 42-25-92" swatch in waist; 3) Pair of midnight navy/white/red stirrup socks; and 4) Black belt. Each item is signed and inscribed "Don Zimmer Game Used 1992" in 9/10 vintage blue/black/silver sharpie.

A fine lot exhibiting appropriate managerial wear. Comes with signed letter of provenance from Don Zimmer. Letter of provenance from Don Zimmer. Pre-Certified by Beckett Authentication Services. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
