1992 Dave Winfield Game Worn Toronto Blue Jays World Series Jersey. Dave Winfield fans need to look no further than this listing for, potentially, his most desirable Blue Jays jersey. During game 6 of the 1992 World Series, Winfield chose the grandest stage to show the baseball world he still had some left in the tank. His eleventh inning double was just inside the foul line as the Blue Jays rode their future Hall of Famer to the first World Series to go north of the border. It is highly probable that Winfield donned this very jersey as he helped to bring a championship to Blue Jays fans. It is common knowledge that the Blue Jays were notoriously stingy with their game worn wares during this time period.

We have consulted with the Wilson date codes and the "EX" flag tag in the collar reveals the jersey was manufactured in October of 1992, just in time for the Fall Classic which started Oct. 17, 1992. Applied in the collar is a "Wilson [size] 46" label, "EX" date code and "32 92 1" swatch denoting player number, year and set number. "Toronto" is expressed across the front in two-color formation atop a Jays emblem. Executed in single-color royal blue is "WINFIELD" atop the "32" in the split numbering which the team made famous. Emblazoned on the right sleeve is a 1992 World Series patch. Winfield signed the front in black sharpie. This originated from a Blue Jays visitor's clubhouse worker although the paperwork substantiating that claim no longer attends. LOA from Heritage Auctions. Full LOA from PSA/DNA (autograph). Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication (autograph).
