    Description

1991 Mickey Mantle Worn & Signed Jersey from Instructional Video. Even as he became a senior citizen, Mickey Mantle still could hit a baseball. In 1991, Mantle along with eventual Hall of Famers Tom Seaver and Gary Carter staged an instructional video Play Ball with Mickey Mantle. Carter and Mantle handled the offensive side of the game while Seaver preached pitching. This framed display (49x40") holds the jersey Mantle wore during filming of the VHS tape. A letter of authenticity from the film's makeup artist describes how she obtained the jersey following the conclusion of the project. Mantle signed "To Sheila Thanks A Lot" in 7/10 blue felt tip. "Mickey 7" is placed over the chest of the knit jersey in single-color blue tackle twill. Four separate photos from the production are incorporated into the display as is the letter of provenance. Overall, one of the more unique Mantle "gamers" we have handled. Letter of provenance from CBS-Fox makeup artist. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
