1991 Ken Griffey, Jr. Game Worn Seattle Mariners Jersey. The preferred style for Ken Griffey Jr. jersey collectors is the first one he wore as a youngster. While mired in the bottom half of the standings since joining the big league ranks in 1977, the Mariners finally had a superstar to pin their hopes on when Ken Griffey Jr. was selected first overall in 1987. It took only a short stint in the minors before Griffey Jr. was ready for prime time. Worn by the future Hall of Famer is this "Rawlings [size] 44" road jersey. Acceptable wear is shown with fraying and identifier softness from launderings and on-field use. "Seattle" is constructed in two-color formation on front while all of the other identifiers are in single-color royal blue. "Griffey" is arched to a nameplate. Sewn in the inside is a "Rawlings [size] 44' tag and "Set 1 1991" flap label. LOA from MEARS, Authentic. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
