    Description

1991 George Brett Game Worn Kansas City Royals Jersey. Classic powder blue road style will always bring the superstar third baseman to mind, and this one is the genuine Brett article, sported by the future Hall of Famer during the season just prior to his 3,000 Hit Club induction. The knit button-down features white tackle twill identifiers in the form of a scripted "Royals" and number "5" on the chest, and a "Brett 5" on verso, the surname applied directly to the jersey body (rather than a plate) as is proper for 1991. Team logo patch appears at left sleeve. Lower left front tail reveals "Rawlings [size] 44" label, which has softened with the solid wear evident throughout the garment. A "Set 2 1991" flap extends from the manufacturing label's right edge. A picture-perfect representation, lacking only an autograph, which makes for a fun project for the eventual winning bidder. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
